I am so very proud of all our wrestlers this season. Coaches have once again been blessed with a team that is full of wrestlers that are competitors, student-athletes, and supportive of each other. They make being a coach fun and rewarding!

Big thank you to our boosters, parents, and guardians for all of the extra stuff that makes a wrestling season happen- transportation, food tables, senior night, sponsorships, and the support when the wrestlers are on the mat. Another thank you to our athletic administration for their support this year as well- Mike Teagan, Danielle Rhodes, and Justin Edwardson going above and beyond, usually behind the scenes. A special thank you to Alyssa Seiter for being the best team manager and keeping statistics for us all season! Last thank you to the coaching staff- Aaron Hoorn, Shawn LaChance, and Brian Wilson. The amount you care about these wrestlers is evident in the time you dedicate to them, the effort placed in wrestling to prepare them for competition, and the conversations and relationship-building to support them. I cannot put together a season without all of you. Thanks again.

Lions finish 2021-22 with a record of 23-6! The leadership of our upperclassmen and the accountability, effort, and integrity of all 18 wrestlers put this team up on the SLHS record board!

More than the accolades, coaches are proud of the conduct of this team throughout a long grueling season. Not everyone wrestles, because it is hard. Way to put in the work and finish strong.

Banquet information will be coming out shortly- as well as varsity letters, academic awards, and team awards. Proud of all of you. Keep moving forward. #Team59 is something special.
