Team,

It hasn’t even been a month since our season ended, but I can say I already miss everyone in the room! Another successful season in the books! A lot of growth this season- I could see it in how the wrestlers handled adversity in injuries, losses, and other setbacks. The wrestlers leaned heavy on the team this year, which allowed us to accomplish some pretty awesome things together! We had multiple wrestlers hit 100 career victories, won Oakland County championship with the most all-county SLHS has ever had (9), a slew of LVC champs, all-conference, and honorable mention. SLHS sent 8 wrestlers to regionals this year, with 3 qualifying for the state tournament. Then had a great showing at states!

A huge shout out to our boosters, parents, and guardians for all of the work that allows us to have a season. Massive thank you to our athletic administration for their support. Another special thank you to Alyssa Seiter for taking stats for us, you will be missed after graduation! Last thanks to the coaching staff- Aaron Hoorn, Brian Wilson, and Timmy Clark. You all are great assets to this team and nothng would get done without you.

More than anything else, I am proud of how this team gets along, supports each other, and grinds out tough schedules. Nothing is given, everything is earned.

Banquet information has been emailed, May 7th at SL Hotel. Please plan to bring your singlets and warm-ups. Will be announcing upcoming dates and open mats in the near future.
